Custom Radio and TV Spot Production - Custom Radio and TV Spots That Sizzle!

After being in business for any length of time, creating the edge, your niche and trying to bypass your competition while driving home your product and service can be a real challenge. Its unfortunate that many products or services offered are the premier in their own field, but have failed for the exact reason that we are talking about here. Without the right advertising and growth, you might as well throw in the towel. With that being said, what is the best form of advertising and where does one get their biggest bang for the buck?

Obviously its different for each business and with their offering. As a general rule, direct mail has always done very well, but the costs can really add up after design and layout, printing, paying for the mailing lists, the bulk mail permit, and then the postage. It can really add up to big bucks. TV and radio present some unique advantages and then disadvantages as well. In order for your potential customer to reach you, you have to reach them Usually through a number of radio and TV airings before you see a response. On the positive side, when these commercials are done right, being that theyre broadcast, the company can seem bigger than life. Lets look at custom radio and TV spot production and look at effective ways to really get the results youre after.

Your greatest challenge in creating a TV and/or radio spot is maintaining a workable budget. With that said, all to often, the small business owner, in an attempt to keep costs down and with what appears as an added benefit at the time of utilizing the in-house radio and TV cables voice over and production guy, miss the mark by a very large margin. The sales guy, in an attempt to get you to buy, encourages the less than savvy and able writing staff and in-house voice over guy with canned music, and lures in the unsuspecting customer that being you or the small business owner. Here in lies the problem.

Canned music and staff voice over talent are not held to the same standards as most of the professional music houses and production companies. While we are on the topic, when I mention professional, Im not talking about the Well do your music and voice over for $399 company. Im talking about a company that can produce your commercial for $1,500 - $2,000 in most cases that will more than create a sales effect paying for the commercial usually many times over Thus you have obtained a much greater ROI than if you used the in-house creatives at the radio and TV cable companies.

Im not trying to down anyone, and I know that there are a lot of very talented and able creative staff at radio and cable facilities. What Im getting at though, is if you want a real credible commercial that will give you outstanding results, than be willing to pay a little more on the front end. Your sales numbers wont lie. A well written, and well crafted and thought out commercial with great talent really does make a huge difference in your ROI Its that simple! Do it right!
